Job Scope The Additive Manufacturing Machining Specialist (AMMS) plays a key role in the production and continuous improvement of custom, patient-specific medical implants and instruments. This position supports the full manufacturing lifecycle—from machining and 3D printing through downstream finishing—ensuring precision, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards. Working under minimal supervision, the AMMS collaborates closely with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to produce components to specification, troubleshoot machining and process issues, and implement technical solutions efficiently. The role may include developing and refining CNC programs using CAD/CAM software, integrating new processes or equipment, and providing technical guidance within the Digital Surgery Department to advance process capability and production readiness.
