The Additive Construction Technician will be a part of the team working on the Expedient Additive Construction for Horizontal Construction Missions project, also known as the Additive Construction Maneuver Enhancing Technology (ACME Tech) program within the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Arkansas. The successful candidate will directly report to Dr. Michelle Barry and will work within her research group. This job entails assisting students and faculty and working on tasks related to experimental work, IT needs related to the 3D printers, and a variety of machine maintenance tasks. The skills and techniques used in the position are quite varied, so applicants from broad, related backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Must be willing to travel in and out of state occasionally. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
