About The Position

Join our team as an Addictions Therapist with strong potential for permanent placement. The goal is to transition into a permanent full-time Union position after completing 3 months of temporary employment. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in an accepted discipline from an accredited college or university; and two years paid related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provides individual and group services to assigned individuals on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for meeting the required hours of direct service on a weekly basis to achieve 70% productivity based on billable services provided.
  • Attends and participates in case conferences. Utilizes input from those meetings to update treatment plans and/or incorporate treatment strategies discussed.
  • Ensures that case consultations for each assigned member are completed within required timeframes.
  • Makes referrals to other Consortium units, outside agencies, or support networks.
  • Followsup on referrals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Follows up on referrals related to discharge within 30 days.
  • Ensures all referrals and follow-up efforts are documented.
  • Develops and maintains complete clinical records including biopsychosocial, assessments, treatment plans, annual evaluations, progress notes, case conferences, IOP authorization, discharges and other clinical and administrative documents in a timely manner.
  • Ensures charts adhere to established chart sequence, date order, and that all documents are present.
  • Completes assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharges, and other clinical and administrative documents in accordance with agency, managed care, accreditation, licensing, and State and local requirements and standards.
  • Regularly checks to ensure that content, signatures, credentials, dates, times, service types, and legibility meet standards.
  • Provides clinical assessments and crisis management in consultation with supervisor, psychiatrist and/or treatment team, as required.
  • Responsible for monitoring individuals in crisis on the unit.
  • Assists with coordinating hospitalization procedures, if necessary. Interfaces with members of multidisciplinary areas to ensure provision of effective clinical
  • Attends bi-weekly individual supervision and bi-weekly group supervision.
  • Comes prepared with an agenda to discuss items such as successes, concerns, ideas or follow-up items.
