About The Position

The Addictions Counselor Assistant position at the Bronx Psychiatric Center involves providing direct care to patients and performing unit duties. Responsibilities include assisting with health and safety activities, driving the van, preparing documentation, completing forms, and other tasks as assigned. This is a per diem, temporary position with variable hours across all three shifts.

Requirements

• Two years of experience, one year of which must have required the application of communication skills
• One year must have been in a direct treatment capacity in an addictions treatment setting
• An associate's degree in a human services field
• Current registration as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)-Trainee or CASAC-Provisional in New York State

Responsibilities
