About The Position

Priory Hospital North London is recruiting for a skilled Addictions Therapist or Counsellor to join our small and dedicated team, This is a Part Time/ 22.5 Hour role, you will be supporting us to deliver a range of Addiction services including our 28-day inpatient programme, Day therapy programme, Aftercare and Outpatient therapy. As part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) this is a unique opportunity to work alongside some of the leading Consultant Psychiatrists in the field of addiction treatment within a forward-thinking private psychiatric hospital environment. The ideal candidate will hold a recognised qualification in counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, or a related field, with relevant registration or accreditation. Strong assessment, communication, and motivational interviewing skills are essential, alongside the ability to build therapeutic relationships and manage complex caseloads. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalised treatment and care plans tailored to individual needs and goals. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical, psychological, and social care professionals, to provide holistic client support. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, reports, and case notes in line with professional and organisational standards. Promote relapse prevention strategies, harm reduction approaches, and positive lifestyle changes to support long-term recovery outcomes. Requirements
