NewStart provides patient-centered care and a strong focus on collaboration throughout our continuum of care. Our team consists of nurses, support staff, doctors, and therapists that remain in strong contact with each other to make sure we are providing consistent and comprehensive care. Services provided: Intensive outpatient program, Medication management, individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy. Established team of 3 physicians Established practice serving the Madison community Full-time position; Clinic hours 8AM-4:30PM Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination

Requirements

MD or DO
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Addiction Medicine
Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Wisconsin
Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)

Responsibilities

Care of Adults ages 18+
Average of 6-8 clinic patients per half day and 3-4 patients at the hospital.
Shared call amongst the providers; Call is every third week, to cover phone call only for nights and weekends.
Practice is a mix of inpatient and outpatient
Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve
Evaluates, interprets and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care
Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment
Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and problem-solving skills
