About The Position

We are seeking an Addiction Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP) providing comprehensive addiction medicine care to patients with substance use disorders. The position would be 25% inpatient and 75% outpatient practice. The NP would perform histories and physical exams and medication management visits, and offers medical care for complications of substance use disorders, as clinically appropriate. Engages in all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis and treatment. Orders labs, EKGs, and other tests as clinically indicated. Leads and/or attends multidisciplinary team meetings in the Addiction Medicine Department. Position reports to the Medical Director of Addiction Medicine. Must be NP board certified. Prefer at least one (1) year working in an inpatient detox or methadone maintenance setting prescribing methadone and buprenorphine. This is for our UHS Addiction Medicine Clinic located at Binghamton General Hospital.
