About The Position

Join Our Team at Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc. We are seeking an Addiction Counselor to support individuals on their path to recovery through compassionate, patient-centered care within a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive clinical services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, families, and groups. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans; document clinical services and maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards. Manage an assigned caseload effectively, including maintaining productivity expectations, meeting documentation timelines, and participating in required supervision and training. Provide crisis intervention services as needed and support crisis response efforts, including participation outside of regular business hours when requested. Coordinate care internally and externally to support holistic, high-quality treatment outcomes for clients. Incorporate cultural competency and trauma-informed practices into clinical services and documentation. Adhere to confidentiality requirements, HIPAA regulations, and organizational policies at all times. Follow supervisory guidance, participate in team collaboration, and contribute to a supportive and professional clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Current Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS) or licensed Addiction Counselor credential.
  • Valid Colorado driver’s license with ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to pass a Behavioral Health background investigation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented approach with strong communication skills.
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications; experience with Excel or electronic systems preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain BLS certification upon hire (training provided)
