The Platform Engineering & Emerging Technology (PEET) Amazon Dedicated Cloud team is hiring for an ADC Engineer to support CloudTrail, AWS Config and other AWS services! You'll design, deploy, monitor, and automate infrastructure, tools and systems to provide a highly-available and resilient platform for our customers' and our team's workloads. This is an exciting opportunity to use the latest cloud computing technologies to help U.S. Government agencies implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems. AWS established a specialized group of service teams responsible for the work we are doing with the U.S. Intelligence Community. We are building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world, and we need adaptable people to help us implement and operate them. Amazon has a fast-paced environment where we 'Work Hard, Have Fun, Make History.' On a 'typical' day engineers might deep dive to root cause a customer issue, investigate why a metric is trending the wrong way, consult with the top engineers at Amazon, or discuss radical new approaches to automate operational issues.

  • Investigating new ways to improve operations and defining new solutions to solve technically complex cloud issues for our customers.
  • Taking a proactive approach to maintaining service health by investigating performance outliers through metric analysis and log diving.

  • 3+ years of experience operating in a Unix, Linux, or Red Hat environment.
