The ADC attendant is responsible for accepting and sorting donations from the public. This role involves greeting donors, assisting with unloading donations, providing receipts, sorting items, and maintaining the cleanliness of the donation center. The attendant must also complete necessary logs and forms, train new staff, and be flexible with scheduling, including weekend work and travel to various locations.

  • Greet donors upon arrival at the attended donation center.
  • Unload or assist the donor in unloading donations from the donor’s vehicle.
  • Offer donation receipts to donors and assist donors in completing the form.
  • Thank the donor for the donation.
  • Sort donations in 3-sider or hamper according to the item category.
  • Notify the office of ADC status, trash, oversized items, donors, and needed repairs daily.
  • Clean the interior and surrounding exterior area of the donation center.
  • Complete the donor log, electrical, and other forms as required.
  • Train new ADC attendants on donation center responsibilities.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and travel to different locations.
  • All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
