About the position

The ADAS Parking Functions Validation Engineer at Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is responsible for validating the Autonomous Parking functionalities within the ADAS/Autonomous Parking Development team. This role focuses on ensuring the reliability and performance of active safety systems, contributing to the brand's marketing strategy. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders to validate the end-to-end solution, create reports, and enhance user experience through technical analysis and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct validation of Autonomous Parking functionalities such as Parking Assist, Automated Parking, and Remote Controlled Parking based on Test Development Plans (TDP's).
  • Identify specification deficiencies and report concerns for tracking and alignment.
  • Create and present reports for management review, including project status and technical data.
  • Participate in design reviews to define ADAS Parking feature requirements and convert them into TDPs and execution plans.
  • Evaluate field/customer concerns post-launch and drive resolution to meet customer expectations.
  • Conduct competitive vehicle benchmarking activities and report findings.
  • Perform cost-saving initiatives and analyze revenue streams related to ADAS implementations.
  • Research new technologies and report findings for future product recommendations.
  • Perform additional projects and tasks to support HATCI's mission and goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of Autonomous Parking & Driving Systems and familiarity with Camera, Radar, & Ultrasonic sensors.
  • ADAS or AD development experience is a plus.
  • Experience with automotive tests and measurement systems (CAN) is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creating and modifying Test Development Plans (TDP's).
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication.
