About The Position

Our Hardware development team in Plymouth, MI develops Camera, Ultrasonic and Radar based driver assistance products. We offer an internship (full time or part time) for 6 months or longer, or a Co-Op position to support the development team in our optical lab. Support engineering debugging and development testing in lab and lab environment Performing optical performance measurements using LabVIEW Analyze and document the test results Support developing LabVIEW programs Support in documentation and process related tool Create 3D models for fixtures. Work with 3D printer. Support building mechanical fixtures. Use Digital Multimeter (DMM), oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzer

Requirements

  • Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronic, or Physics
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Good communication skills and team work spirit
  • Ability to work independently and self-organized
  • Understanding of electronic design and circuits
  • Ability to read basic electronic schematics and wiring plans
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Ability to work in a lab environment

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work with basic electrical instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Ability to use basic electrical/mechanical hand tools and using soldering irons
  • Experienced in electronic design and controls
  • Experienced in Python or LabVIEW.
  • Understanding of complex scripts
  • Mechanical understanding and hands-on experience

Responsibilities
