Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalized in-home and on-site personal training sessions tailored to clients of all fitness levels and goals, including those with intellectual and physical disabilities.
  • Design customized fitness programs using the GYMGUYZ Fitness App based on client needs and preferences, demonstrating a commitment to client progression and adherence.
  • Ensure client safety, provide consistent motivation and steadfastly support the client fitness journey.
  • Educate clients on proper exercise techniques and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
  • Conduct reassessments to monitor client progress and promote retention, showing dedication to measurable outcomes.
  • Manage appointments and schedules using the GYMGUYZ scheduling app, maintaining high standards of punctuality, accountability and clear communication regarding your availability.
  • Maintain transparent and timely communication about client progress, any issues, milestones and contract renewals.
  • Travel to client locations, ensuring punctuality, professionalism and adherence to brand standards.
  • Participate in periodic team meetings and perform additional duties as assigned, including marketing and event support.

Requirements

  • A strong track record and proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, e.g. Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, or in special education settings.
  • Nationally recognized personal training certification, e.g. NASM, ISSA, ACE, ACSM.
  • Current CPR/AED certification.
  • Comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy and nutrition.
  • Infectious energy and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage clients and team members effectively.
  • A commitment to reliability and punctuality, with a willingness to travel to client locations and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Comfortable with commuting to client locations; most sessions are within a 30-minute travel radius; drive time and mileage beyond 30 minutes may be eligible for reimbursement at your manager's discretion.
  • A collaborative, mature and dependable team player spirit with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and consistently uphold our service standards.

Nice-to-haves

  • Additional adaptive fitness certification strongly preferred, e.g. Certify Strong, ATA.
  • Experience with Mindbody and Trainerize is a plus.
