Adaptive Equipment Technician

About The Position

We have an exciting opportunity for an Adaptive Equipment Technician to join our team at ChildServe! This role will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, repair, and/or delivery of durable medical equipment, which includes minor fitting and adjustments of equipment under the supervision of the ATP and/or therapist. Schedule Full-Time, 40 hours/week Monday – Friday flexible hours

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Technical Training in the field of adaptive equipment or willing to complete within 1 year.
Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification or willing to complete within 1 year when need is determined.
Valid driver’s license, a personal vehicle, proof of automobile insurance.
Ability to work independently with basic verbal and written instructional guidance from others.
Maintain positive working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for, a diverse population.
Lift and carry up to 50lbs, be mobile within the clinic areas, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
Be able to perform tasks that include grasping, turning, and fine manipulation of tools.
Must be able to demonstrate safe use of hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with inventory management, materials acquisition and tracking of orthotic casts and equipment shipments.
Inspect, assemble, test, diagnose, and repair DME according to manufacturer and company standards.
Deliver and pick up equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and proper signatures.
Maintain a clean, safe workshop and delivery vehicle, completing required logs and checklists.
Provide professional, reliable customer service and communicate feedback or concerns appropriately.
