About The Position

Provides individuals with special healthcare needs with a positive experience in the water, introduces and teaches fundamental aquatic skills, promotes water safety and provides opportunities for physical activity and social interaction.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Background in physical education preferred.
• Lifeguard certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Possesses teaching ability for a variety of water classes for various age levels within the Adaptive Aquatics program.
• Demonstrates strength working with growth and development needs of unique client population, understanding the challenges associated.
• Assists the lead instructor when and where appropriate, listening to direction promptly to insure a high quality experience for all of the individuals involved.
