About The Position
Suncoast Preparatory Academy is seeking a dedicated and passionate Adapted Physical Education (APE) Teacher for a hybrid role that integrates virtual and in-person specialized academic instruction sessions. The APE Teacher will design and implement physical education programs for students with disabilities, ensuring access to a safe, inclusive, and effective curriculum. This role involves close collaboration with educators, support staff, and families to support each student's physical, social, and emotional development, tailoring activities to meet individual needs. The ideal candidate is a positive, caring individual with excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. They should be proactive, team-oriented, flexible, and sensitive to the needs of the program. Working hours are Monday through Friday during school hours, with additional availability as needed. This hybrid role includes virtual sessions and in-person meetings across various counties, including but not limited to Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino. In-person assignments will vary based on student needs.
