About The Position

Medal is the largest platform for gaming clips - where millions of players capture, share, and relive their best gaming moments every day. We're building the future of social experiences around gameplay, and advertising is a core part of how we connect brands to this massive, engaged audience. We're looking for a hungry, hands-on Media Strategist / Ad Operations Manager with 3-5 years of experience in media planning, ad operations, or campaign strategy. This is a hybrid role that blends creative campaign design with technical execution, data analysis, and client-facing account management. You'll work across the full lifecycle of campaigns - from concept and proposal to trafficking, optimization, and reporting - helping leading brands show up authentically in gaming.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in media planning, ad operations, or digital advertising, ideally in gaming, tech, or agency environments.
  • Strong understanding of modern ad tech - especially Prebid, Google Ad Manager (GAM), and programmatic ecosystems.
  • Hands-on experience trafficking and optimizing campaigns across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated creative sensibility - able to brainstorm and build compelling campaign concepts with brands.
  • Experience working directly with clients and managing relationships from kickoff to wrap-up.
  • Analytical mindset - highly skilled at pulling data from disparate sources, building reports, and finding stories in the numbers.
  • A proactive, 'figure it out' attitude - eager to roll up your sleeves and grow with a fast-moving team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with branded content, influencer programs, or custom creative production.
  • Familiarity with gaming culture and communities.
  • Comfort presenting insights and recommendations to senior-level clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design and plan multi-channel media campaigns that resonate with gaming audiences, including bespoke activations and creative integrations.
  • Traffic, QA, and manage campaigns end-to-end across platforms like Prebid, GAM, and major SSP/DSP partners.
  • Partner with design and product teams to shape innovative ad experiences, including custom creatives, rewarded experiences, and branded content.
  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and agencies - own campaign communication, pacing, performance updates, and post-mortems.
  • Pull, parse, and analyze data from various ad tech and analytics platforms. Translate insights into actionable recommendations to improve performance and deliver value.
  • Constantly test, learn, and iterate on campaign strategies, ad formats, targeting tactics, and creative approaches to push results forward.
