About The Position

The Acute Registered Nurse (RN) provides recovery-focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment (including medications) as prescribed by the physician. At the Telecare Fern Lodge Behavioral Wellness program, we provide intensive mental health and psychiatric treatment services in a safe, welcoming environment for adults requiring continued time for stabilization and recovery support. We believe recovery starts from within and that our job is to do whatever it takes to provide the support needed on our residents' recovery journeys. Our secure facility includes a full staff of registered nurses, clinicians, peer specialists, and social workers on-call 24-hours a day to provide wraparound support. Our services are designed using Telecare's Recovery-Centered Clinical System (RCCS). Through the lens of trauma-informed care, this system incorporates evidence-based practices and innovative design components. RCCS focuses on choice-making skills, harm reduction techniques, and strives to awaken the hopes and dreams of the individual.

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of program operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-focused services related to the safe and appropriate administration of medical treatment as prescribed by the physician.
• Administer medications and manage medication administration.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and risk assessments covering mental health and substance abuse.
• Participate in psychiatric assessments and treatment.
• Facilitate peer support and community group meetings.
• Engage in social and recreational activities.
• Provide supportive counseling on a group and individual basis.
