About The Position

The Acute Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) position at Fresenius Medical Care is an entry-level role within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is responsible for providing and coordinating clinically competent care for patients undergoing dialysis treatment. The RN will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with healthcare team members to enhance patient outcomes and program operations.

Requirements

• Current RN License in the appropriate state.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current CPR and BLS Certification.
• Minimum of 9 months experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Entry-level position for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• 6 months of acute dialysis experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Hemodialysis and/or ICU preferred.
• 12 months of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for assigned patients.
• Perform ongoing collection and analysis of patient data pre, during, and post-treatment.
• Document patient responses and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on their basic learning needs and ongoing care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patient status variations.
• Direct and provide safe and effective patient care for all treatment procedures.
• Administer medications and document their effectiveness and justification.
• Initiate emergency response measures when necessary.
• Participate in staff training and orientation of new employees.
• Assist in outpatient facilities as needed.
