About The Position

Tanner Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join our hospital employed Carrollton Surgical Group consisting of 7 experienced general surgeons and 3 full-time APPs. The position involves joining one other acute care surgeon to complete this newly designed service line, providing coverage primarily for inpatient and emergency department consults at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton only.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Unrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtain
• Residency trained in General Surgery
• Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
• Competence to perform a full spectrum of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgery

Responsibilities

• Join one other acute care surgeon to complete this newly designed service line.
• Provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton.
