This expert, patient-focused team helps care for healthy term newborns, mother baby couplets, high-risk antepartum, and gynecology patients through offering support and comfort throughout their stay. Our Labor and Delivery team specifically helps the birthing person every step of the labor, delivery, recovery, and post-partum process. The Birthplace has electronic fetal monitoring equipment with central display for easy, constant observation. An operating suite for Cesarean sections is just a few steps away, and staff are trained to be able to circulate during the case. Our patients receive care from a compassionate and highly skilled nursing and interdisciplinary team in a fast paced environment. We strive to make each birth a special experience for our families as they have been preparing for this event for many long months. Labor & Delivery unit is located adjacent to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in order to provide seamless care across the birth continuum. The Labor and Delivery nurses complete AWHONN Introduction, Intermediate, and Advance to Fetal Heart Monitor courses in addition to NRP certification, breastfeeding training, triage operations and OR classes.
