About The Position

7S is a cardiac telemetry unit specializing in heart failure management. Nurses on the unit are trained to care for patients with Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), gaining valuable experience in advanced cardiac therapies. New graduate nurses can expect to begin VAD training after six months on the unit, while experienced nurses will receive VAD training after orientation. This unit also manages a variety of cardiac drips following specific order guidelines, offering excellent exposure to a variety of cardiovascular care. 7S is a great place to build on your nursing expertise and develop the skills needed to transition into a cardiac intensive care role if desired.
