WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC Our Acute Care Registered Nurses ensure the wellbeing of our acute care patients. Our skilled nurses assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing practices and approaches based on the needs of each patient. Some of these vital responsibilities include: Making or recommending necessary judgments with a patient’s individual needs in mind Establishing patient care goals and measuring health outcomes against these goals and standards Teaching patients, family, and friends to understand the patients’ conditions and necessary medication and self-care skills Supervising and collaborating with other members of the nursing care team to ensure that each patient’s needs are met Documenting patient care Adhering to medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, and infection control policies Maintaining professional and technical knowledge
