Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – On-Site, No Field Work! As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you’ll serve as the admitting and attending provider for adolescent and adult patients in a state-of-the-art, structured facility. Requirements
- PMHNP-BC licensed in the state of Arizona
- Unrestricted DEA license
- 1+ years of experience in psychiatric or crisis mental health care, with youth and adults
- Strong working knowledge of psychopharmacology and psychiatric care standards
- Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, interdisciplinary team
- Strong skills in clinical judgment, medication management, and crisis assessment
- Proficient in documentation and use of EMR systems
- Committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed psychiatric care
Responsibilities
- Serve as the admitting and attending provider for adolescents and adults in psychiatric crisis
- Complete psychiatric assessments, risk evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications using evidence-based practices
- Collaborate with patients’ families, guardians, and social services for holistic care
- Participate in interdisciplinary care coordination and safe discharge planning
- Lead the development and implementation of individualized mental health treatment plans
- Order labs, review medical history, and conduct focused physicals as appropriate
- Support policy and program development to improve service delivery
