About The Position

The Acute Care Physical Therapist works independently to provide physical therapy evaluations and therapy services to patients as ordered by a physician. This role is consistent with hospital policies and procedures, standards of practice, and regulations as directed by the Rehab Director. The therapist provides assistance to patients in the restoration of function and prevention of disability following disease, injury, or loss of a limb. The position includes full access to patient health information.

Requirements

• Currently licensed in NC as a Physical Therapist or eligible for state licensure examination.
• CPR certification through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association required; if not currently certified, must complete upon hire.
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation including age and population-specific skills.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including positioning, transferring, and lifting patients.
• Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for the position.
