About The Position

Sentara is hiring an Acute Care Occupational Therapist in Hampton, Virginia. This is a Part-Time, Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS! As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury and help build or restore vocational/ daily living skills as well as general independence. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Level Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active Occupational Therapy Licensure.
• Basic Life Safety (BLS) certification.
• NBCOT certification required within 6 months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs.
• Improve functional mobility and relieve pain.
• Correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury.
• Help build or restore vocational/daily living skills.
• Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers.
• Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members.
