About The Position
The full time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner will work under the general supervision of the primary supervising physician, and all physician partners to delivery competent medical care to an age specific population including adults and geriatric patients. ACNP will work independently and collaborate with the entire HCVA physician team as well as assess, manage and treat complex cardiovascular conditions in high acuity units. Position to maintain the scope of practice to be consistent with the policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines governed by the Texas Board of Nursing, the Texas Medical Board, and any other federal or state regulatory agencies, as well as the policies and procedures of HCVA. Understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, values, and management of HCVA and USHV. Weekend hospital and call coverage for practice ACNP takes all call from answering service, hospitals, and physicians Call begins Fridays 5pm until Sunday 5pm Rotating at 2 large hospital systems within Houston Medical Center Full time position with benefits
Requirements
- Seasoned ACNP with ability to treat complex cardiovascular conditions, valvular pathology and coronary artery disease
- ACNP Board Certification
- 3+ years of Cardiology experience required
