Wellstar Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our busy, well-established cardiology team. This role focuses on the management and coordination of care for critical care cardiology patients in the inpatient setting at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center in Marietta, GA. The Wellstar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia, including 11 hospitals and 30 office locations. Our 90+ physicians and 85+ APPs provide care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients (surgery, structural heart, advanced heart failure, EP, advanced imaging, complex intervention, ECMO, and research). Requirements

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Nice To Haves

  • Previous APP Critical Care Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other health care providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
  • Perform admissions, transfers and discharges for the cardiology patients.
  • Actively participate in the daily medical management of patients.
  • Become thoroughly competent in all aspects of stress testing.
  • Document, maintain and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC).
  • Other duties as assigned.
