About The Position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage critically ill patients in ICU or specialty units Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams Provide discharge planning and follow-up care Nurse Practitioner/Physician's Assistant - Critical Care Nights Only (7p-7a) Provide direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans Prescribe medications and treatments Supervised by board certified intensivists Tele-ICU support available as well Implement infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and self-care techniques Experience: ICU experience and procedures as APP or RN preferred but not mandatory Required Competencies Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Requirements

  • Valid NP/PA license in NC
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • ICU experience and procedures as APP or RN preferred but not mandatory
