About The Position

The Acupuncturist in the Neuroscience Comprehensive Pain Management team at Sutter Health is primarily responsible for providing Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations and acupuncture sessions to patients. This role involves collaboration with other practitioners to deliver integrative medical care, including services such as cupping, herbal recommendations, and group acupuncture. The Acupuncturist also serves as a resource and educator for patients and clinical staff, ensuring the implementation of best practices in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine or Oriental Medicine.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
• Acupuncture License certification.
• 2 years of recent relevant experience.
• Ability to work as a member of a dynamic integrative medicine team.
• Commitment to the mission and goals of the Institute for Health & Healing and Sutter Health.
• Background in whole foods diets and herbal products.
• Knowledge of clinical oncology patient needs.
• Understanding of the field of integrative medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual Traditional Chinese Medicine consultations and acupuncture sessions to patients.
• Work under the clinical supervision of the medical physician.
• Deliver appropriate Traditional Chinese Medicine services such as cupping, herbal recommendations, and massage.
• Collaborate with other practitioners to provide exceptional integrative medical care.
• Implement and sustain best practices in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
• Act as a resource and educator for patients, family members, and clinical staff.
