This immersive, 12-week in-person experience offers the opportunity to collaborate with accomplished actuarial professionals, contribute to critical business projects, and develop foundational skills for a successful career in actuarial science. Program Details: Location: Louisville, Kentucky (travel expenses and housing provided) Duration: May 18 – August 7, 2026 (12 weeks) Eligibility: Open to students currently enrolled in either undergraduate or masters programs

Requirements

  • Must be a current full-time undergraduate or graduate student in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related field
  • Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday for 12-weeks from May 18 – August 7, 2026
  • Must not require sponsorship to work in the United States now or in the future
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career as an actuary
  • Successful completion of and/or scheduled to sit for at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) exam

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Strong computer programming aptitude, with experience or coursework in tools such as PLSQL, Microsoft Access, Excel, VBA, SAS, or other data analytics applications
  • Completion of multiple SOA exams
  • Prior internship or work experience in actuarial or analytical roles
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through student organizations, work, or volunteer roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and independently

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and analyze data related to product development, pricing, reserving, financial reporting, and other actuarial functions
  • Support the preparation and review of experience reports and manual rate analyses
  • Develop recommendations for process improvement based on data insights
  • Participate in professional development activities and networking events
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams to address enterprise-wide challenges in growth, profitability, and risk management
