This internship program offers a 10-week full-time opportunity designed for students to gain real work experience in the Actuarial organization at Aetna, a CVS Health company. Interns will be immersed in a culture of continuous improvement, with the goal of changing health care for the better. Throughout the program, participants will be aligned to specific projects where they can lead or contribute, while also engaging in networking, development, and career exploration activities. The program is structured to provide valuable insights into the actuarial field, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting. The internship will run from June 2nd to August 8th, 2025, with virtual onboarding activities scheduled for May 28th to 30th, 2025. Interns will work in a hybrid model, spending three days a week in the Hartford, CT office and the remaining two days working remotely. This arrangement allows for flexibility while still providing the opportunity to collaborate with team members in person. Intern housing will be provided to facilitate the relocation of interns who may need to move for the duration of the program. As part of the Actuarial team, interns will support business leaders with critical thought partnership and accountability for business results. They will leverage strong analytical skills and business knowledge to engage in activities related to financial planning, forecasting, reserving, and monitoring medical cost trends. Interns will also participate in regulatory filings and new product development and pricing, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of the actuarial profession. Examples of past internship projects include assignments across different business units, including Commercial Business, Government Businesses, and Medical Economics, with limited non-traditional Actuarial assignments available as well.
