Responsibilities

  • Lead engagement teams, working directly with clients, mentoring and developing team members.
  • Provide knowledge to clients to execute strategies and resolve complex issues.
  • Play significant roles in client engagement teams in the financial modeling area.
  • Model development and optimization.
  • Model validations and efficiency assessments.
  • Actuarial transformation.
  • Mergers and Acquisitions.
  • Financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Deliver quality client services and manage expectations of client service delivery.
  • Cultivate and manage business development opportunities.
  • Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge.
  • Understand and communicate complex actuarial issues.
  • Develop a strong personal brand and enhance the EY brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related major.
  • Approximately 5+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years of people and/or project management.
  • Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries.
  • Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets.
  • Strong knowledge of Moody's GGY AXIS software.
  • Strong writing, presentation, conceptual, analytical, project management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and client-service skills.
  • Ability to manage time while working on multiple projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with a few key AXIS modules (Regular Life, Universal Life, Annuity, Asset, or Reinvestment).
  • Proficient in leveraging DataLink, Batches, and related AXIS components for developing and enhancing AXIS models.
  • Prior experience with AXIS model design and implementation.
  • Knowledge of US Life and/or Annuity products, regulations, and STAT/GAAP reporting.
  • Project management experience and ability to handle teams and multiple stakeholders.

  • Base salary range of $145,000 to $265,900.
  • Salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California is $174,000 to $302,200.
