About The Position
As an Actuarial Assistant on the Payout Annuity Valuation Team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the end-to-end production processes. This includes data analysis and cleanup, enhancements and testing of the Prophet model, and the development of process and model controls. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting Payout Annuity STAT and TAX financial reporting, which encompasses quarterly close activities, analyzing reserve changes, and delivering regular and ad-hoc requests to various stakeholders such as accounting, finance, reinsurance, and audit teams. In this position, you will analyze and test data for various enhancement projects, focusing on administrative data, valuation model inputs and outputs, and reporting, primarily utilizing Excel and database tools like Alteryx. You will work closely with the Payout Valuation model in Prophet to analyze and test its output, functionality, and the details of calculations. Additionally, you will support statutory and tax annual and quarterly close activities for Payout products, handle ad-hoc requests, and engage in business partnerships with key stakeholders across different departments. Your role will also involve researching and familiarizing yourself with relevant product features and actuarial and accounting guidelines, as well as collaborating with various teams including Model Development, Annuity Product, IT, and Controllers.
