Job Summary: Independence American Insurance Company (IAIC) is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to analyze and evaluates the likelihood of future events to reduce and manage future financial risks. Job Location : Remote

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Math, Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Accounting, Computer Information Systems, other quantitative field, or equivalent work experience (two-years relevant experience is equivalent to two-years college)
  • Licenses/Certifications: Must have passed Two+ Actuarial Exams
  • Works independently on moderately complex projects/assignments and seeks guidance on projects/assignments of higher complexity
  • May provide guidance and assistance to subordinate professionals and/or support employees

Responsibilities

  • Maintains and updates existing models, tools, and other files used for analysis.
  • Prepares reserving, forecasting, rate filings, pricing analysis, and experience reports for review.
  • Completes ad hoc reporting, as necessary.
  • Completes appropriate database work, as necessary.
  • Duties are broad in nature, usually requiring discretion and independent judgement
  • Develops actuarial models.
  • Assists with the completion of rate filing documents for all states.
  • Researches rate filings, as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
