About The Position

As a member of the Actuarial Department, the Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Actuary in putting together the reserving package, pricing, and providing actuarial support for other departments. The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, reconciling actuarial data to accounting reports, detecting data anomalies or changes in loss reporting patterns, utilising various actuarial methods for loss reserving analysis, evaluating unearned premium adequacy for regulatory compliance, and facilitating the internal and external audits. The associate will also be responsible for handling ad hoc analysis and generating monthly scheduled reports. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field, and 1+ actuarial exams
  • Relevant work experience preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient with MS applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Experience with programming languages (SAS, SQL, or Python preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform loss reserving analysis.
  • Evaluate unearned premium adequacy.
  • Review data quality and reconcile data to the accounting reports.
  • Assist with the internal and external audit process.
  • Provide support for actuarial pricing and rate class review.
  • Provide general actuarial support and collaborate with other departments.
