Independently, learn to apply fundamental actuarial theories, techniques, and procedures and develop the basic skills required to assist in the preparation of various actuarial analysis. May work in valuation/reserving, pricing, product, research/support, business planning, capital / financial modeling. Provide support to credentialed actuaries and others by performing analysis within designated business segments. Assist in the preparation of actuarial reports and studies. Provide clear communication of technical actuarial work to technical and non-technical audiences. Understands communication preferences and is flexible to the expectations and ways of communicating to different audiences. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in communicating with colleagues with differing backgrounds. Use mathematical and statistical skills to aid in the analysis and synthesis of data to support key initiatives within the department. Challenges personal views and actively seeks input from others to drive the best possible business outcome. Seeks to understand, respect and appreciate different perspectives. Positive progress towards pursuing and passing of required actuarial exams. Maintain status in the Actuarial Development Program. Domestic travel required up to 10%. Telecommuting permitted up to 80%.
