About The Position

As a member of the Corporate Actuarial Department, this position works directly with the Claims Department, Finance Department, and Senior Management to provide technical and analytical actuarial expertise. Hybrid work location enables hands-on training and professional growth combined with flexibility.

Requirements

• Minimum of one year actuarial experience, college graduates will be considered with relevant internship experience
• Successful completion of one actuarial exam, two preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; SQL knowledge preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills and attention to detail
• Strong problem solving ability
• Ability to work efficiently and independently with guidance as well as collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Perform semi-annual reserve reviews
• Prepare reports and analyze data in support of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Create monthly and quarterly actual vs. expected reports
• Produce and reconcile Schedule P annually
• Prepare reports in support of Actuarial Opinion annually
• Support various needs for IFRS 17 reporting
• Perform ad-hoc analyses as directed
