About The Position

As a Retirement Actuarial Analyst, you will support a variety of projects involving the design, valuation, funding, and financial analysis of employer-sponsored retirement programs, including defined benefit, defined contribution, and hybrid plans. You’ll collaborate with client teams, contribute to actuarial and financial deliverables, and ensure quality standards are met. This role offers the opportunity to grow your retirement consulting expertise while developing your financial, project management, and communication skills alongside industry leaders. The Role With clear guidance and direction, play an active support role in multiple client teams developing retirement-related financial analyses, outputs, and client deliverables across a regional team. Develop working proficiency in core actuarial and financial theories, models, and tools relevant to retirement plans. Assist in the preparation of pension valuations, funding projections, and accounting disclosures under various standards (e.g., US GAAP, IFRS, local regulations). Support modeling of plan design changes, cost projections, and risk management strategies. Take responsibility for execution of specific tasks contributing to actuarial deliverables, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Collaborate with Global Delivery Centers and Client Service teams to ensure efficient project execution. Build strong internal relationships and contribute effectively to cross-functional teams. Requirements

  • 0-3+ year(s) of work experience in professional services, ideally in retirement consulting, pension administration, or actuarial functions within an insurance or financial services firm.
  • Basic knowledge of retirement plan structures and regulatory environments.
  • Work experience that demonstrates strong technical and/or client service skills (analyst type of internship preferred)
  • Passion for solving problems and sharing solutions to exceed the standards of the client
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a close team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel
  • Relevant financial experience and/or university degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Progress toward actuarial credentials (e.g., ASA, EA) or CEBS designation (optional but preferred).
