We are actively hiring for an Actuarial Analyst. Join us and support CSAA IG in achieving our goals. This role is posted as a level III Actuarial Analyst. However, we are open to levels II - III for this role.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area.
  • At least 4 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines pricing insurance.
  • Completion of 4 or more actuarial exams.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct complex analyses on pricing under reserving.
  • Investigate changes in external environments and assess their impact on the business.
  • Occasionally lead projects of moderate complexity.
  • Gather and clean up data, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis.
  • Perform data analysis, conduct rate review, and recommend changes to new and existing insurance products.
  • Assist in the preparation of rate filing materials, exhibits, and other filing support data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including state product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support.
  • Understand business requirements, provide project updates, and communicate results.
  • Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools.
  • Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis.
