CMFG Life Insurance Company, d/b/a TruStage, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst III for a hybrid position reporting to the Madison, WI headquarters, requiring in-office work several days a month. The Actuarial Analyst III is responsible for developing and implementing solutions through data analysis, determining project or program requirements, and communicating with stakeholders and partners.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science
24 months of actuarial experience
24 months of work experience in a property and casualty insurance setting
24 months of experience using SQL, VBA, and ResQ
24 months of experience with insurance rate filings to state departments of insurance
24 months of experience developing pricing rate indications and presenting results to non-actuarial stakeholders
24 months of experience setting reserves for property and casualty lines of business
Successful completion of three actuarial exams

Responsibilities

Conducting independent analysis and applying actuarial techniques to project future product performance
Visualizing the performance of products by measuring actual vs expected financial results
Identifying and proposing alternative analytical approaches
Participating in the business planning process by setting forecasted loss ratios
Executing projects in support of pricing and reserving for insurance lines of business
