About The Position

Entry level member of the actuarial team, providing support of a mathematical / technical nature which is used in developing multiple insurance products, producing experience and valuation reports, and preparing financial statements. You will report into a credentialed Actuary.

Requirements

• 0-1 years experience required; prior internships.
• Experience with SQL, C++, Excel, VBA, or related programs/programming languages.
• Four-year degree required in Actuarial science, math, physics, economics, engineering, or related field.
• Passed 1-2 SOA Exam.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Support completion of projects for actuarial functions including product development and pricing analyses.
• Assist in product management tools and studies.
• Contribute to business and related forecasts.
• Engage in valuation, financial reporting and analyses.
• Prepare financial reports, memorandums and other required actuarial supporting analyses including new product and filings and rollouts.
• Support product management actions.
• Respond to requests from external auditors, state regulators and rating agencies.
• Communicate actuarial results to cross-functional areas including business unit and other support unit personnel.
• Document the actuarial analysis performed.
• Utilize artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).
