About The Position
AdventHealth Behavioral Health Center (BH) Activity Therapy Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing appropriate Activity Therapy programs for individual patients and for groups of patients in accordance with the patient's identified needs, capabilities, and interests. The Activity Therapy Coordinator works closely with the treatment team to assess and meet the patient's needs through delivery of multi-disciplinary services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Required
Nice To Haves
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) Preferred
- NonViolent Crisis Intervention Program (CPI) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Engages in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in activity therapy.
- Plans, organizes, and implements activity programs tailored to meet the needs, capabilities, and interests of individual patients and groups.
- Ensures compliance with all safety and infection control policies to prevent harm or injury to patients, employees, or self.
- Manages department supplies, expenses, and inventory to ensure the availability of necessary materials and equipment.
