About The Position

The Activity Therapy Assistant functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing training and education for all patient populations in leisure development and role modeling to our patients. Requirements

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• College degree a plus.
• Experience working with children and adolescents a plus.
• Experience providing leisure development groups working with all patient populations.
• May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
• Willing to train the right individual that has a passion for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and addiction disorders.

Responsibilities

• Carry out education activities identified in the treatment plan under the supervision of the Activity Therapy Manager.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic boundaries complying with established training program.
• Demonstrate responsibility for observation of patients at all times.
• Assist patient with activities.
• Practice universal precautions and environment safety guidelines.
