About The Position

Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital’s care for emotional or substance abuse problems. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred. Certification or registration preferred.
• One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
• CPI/CPR certification required.
• Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
• Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
• Flexibility
• Time management and organization skills
• Understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology
• Able to meet deadlines.
