About The Position
Serving as a member of the interdisciplinary team by providing therapeutic activity services to adult and adolescent patients under the hospital's care for emotional or substance abuse problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. recreational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, occupational therapy) preferred.
- One year of inpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
- CPI/CPR certification required.
- Assessment, evaluation, and interpretation skills
- Knowledge of psychiatric and addictive disease diagnoses and treatment
- Flexibility
- Time management and organization skills
- Teaching or training skills helpful
- Understanding of, or ability to understand DSM-5 methodology
- Able to meet deadlines
Nice To Haves
- Certification or registration preferred.
