About The Position
Austin Oaks Hospital is seeking a qualified, energetic candidate for our Music, Art, or Recreational Therapist- position.The Therapist will provide art, music and therapeutic recreation services to the patients, including provision of direct therapy, evaluative activities, and coordination of hospital-wide activities. Requirements
- Bachelor's and/or Master's level degree from an accredited college /university in a Therapeutic Recreation program, Art or Music
- Certification with NCTRC, CTRS, MT-BC, and ATR in Texas.
- Able to lift 50 pounds with frequent lifting and carrying of object weighing up to 25 lbs.
- Physically fit to demonstrate and conduct recreation activities for patients.
- Physical ability to restrain patients through use of hospital approved methods.

- One year experience working with child, adolescent and adult populations.
