About The Position
The Activity Specialist will work as part of the P.R.I.M.E. Leaders Afterschool Program. The Activity Specialist will provide social and educational support and supervision of program participants while ensuring a safe and positive environment for school age children during opportunities for recreation, learning, interaction and academic/personal growth. Additionally, the Activity Specialist will lead activities, prepare students to demonstrate newly acquired skills and assist in the organization and supervision of trips.
Requirements
- High School Diploma required, some college or college degree preferred
- At least one year of youth development related experience in a school, community center or afterschool program that includes facilitation of classroom activities and classroom management
- Must have patience and be able to communicate effectively with children and parents
