About The Position

Ingleside Communities is seeking to hire an Activities Director to join our team. The Activities Director is responsible for the overall supervision and coordination of the Activities Department, ensuring that the social and therapeutic needs of the residents are met through various activities, programming, and continued interaction with community groups. This role involves planning, coordinating, and directing the facility's volunteer program, which is essential for enhancing the quality of life for residents. The Activities Director will work closely with residents, staff, and community members to create a vibrant and engaging environment that promotes well-being and social interaction. The Activities Director will manage the selection, training, development, and performance of assigned staff, fostering a motivated and professional workforce. This includes conducting performance evaluations and facilitating growth within the department. The role requires strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively and exercise sound judgment in line with the organization's core values. The Activities Director must also model effective communication between residents, families, staff, and the community, ensuring that all interactions are positive and constructive. In addition to overseeing the development of activity programming tailored to the needs of residents, the Activities Director is responsible for the financial viability of the department, including budget management and accountability. Compliance with state, federal, and county regulations, as well as BHS policies and procedures, is a critical aspect of this role. The Activities Director will also ensure the completion and implementation of care plans and assessments for all residents, contributing to their overall quality of life. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the mission of Ingleside Communities.
