About The Position
Richmond Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Director to lead and coordinate engaging programs that enhance the quality of life for our residents. The ideal candidate will be creative, organized, and passionate about providing meaningful activities that support residents’ physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification – REQUIRED
- Valid driver's license – REQUIRED
- Activities Director Certification (ADC) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
- Knowledge of resident-centered care and activity planning
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills

Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and implement daily activity programs for residents
- Conduct and document resident activity assessments in PointClickCare
- Develop individualized activity plans based on resident interests and needs
- Lead group and one-on-one activities, including recreational, social, and therapeutic programs
- Coordinate special events, holiday celebrations, and community outings
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participation and progress
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for activity programming
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance resident care
